Architecture 00 is a Hackney-based design practice with a track record in delivering award-winning projects relating to the shaping of our built environment. Founded in 2005, our studio brings together skills in action-led research, urban design strategy, architecture and wider place-making with a detailed understanding of how the physical fabric of buildings can be accompanied by innovative, engaging and collaborative delivery processes.

About You

We are looking for an energetic and proactive colleague. The role is to support the day-to-day admin and operations of the 00 studio in Hackney full-time. 

Whilst it is desirable that you have previous experience in similar operations and company administration role, most of all we are looking for a person who is passionate about admin support, and operations, and a willing all-rounder.

Other Qualities:

Self-directed, team player, practical, flexible, has an affinity with the culture of a dynamic office and the motivation and capabilities to grow into a potential future role through taking on increasing responsibilities for our growing practice. This is a varied role that requires someone who is calm and level-headed under pressure as well as excellent attention to detail and proficient in office management and operations.

Essential tasks:

  • Receiving & screening calls & emails

  • Day-to-day office facilities & premises operations

  • HR processing – maintaining current & regular processes/policies

  • Cultural events – organising in-house lunchtime presentations & office events

  • Finance – Managing subcontractors

  • IT – Managing subcontractors

  • General practice administration & ad-hoc duties

Use of Microsoft Word and Excel essential, Adobe suite (InDesign) and website updates (SquareSpace) desirable.

Job Details 

  • Reports to:  Directors

  • Works with: Across all staff within the organisation, and sub-tenants

  • Salary band: £27 to £33K per annum, depending on experience/tasks (pro rata)

  • Employment period: Full Time / Permanent (30-37.5 hours per week)

  • Location: Based in our London studio in Hackney 

  • Core Studio Hours: Monday-Friday 9.30am-3pm, flexible working outside core hours

  • Start date: As soon as possible according to the candidate’s notice period

  • Annual Leave: 20 days per annum, plus public bank holidays, increasing to 25 days per annum after 3 years
