David Saxby

David is a qualified architect with experience in a wide range of sustainable building projects in the UK. He was formerly a Senior Architect at Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects working on schemes including the RIBA Award winning Northampton Academy, a £24 million new build secondary school, Yorkshire ArtSpace, a new build studio complex on a Brownfield site in Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter [nominated for the Prime Minister’s Award 2002] and Queen Mary’s Student Village, a £32m new build residential campus on Brownfield site in East London comprising 1000 student bedrooms, ancillary accommodation and student union facilities. 

David has worked closely with the BRE understanding the reality of delivery of zero carbon housing in the UK. He also helped developed the School Works Post Occupancy Appraisal Toolkit and co-authored a UK Government Sponsored Study into Building Integrated Photovoltaics. David has lectured and taught at University of Bath, University of Liverpool, and the Architectural Association.
